Over 75 Years of Excellence and Beyond

Aerowind was founded as Peerless Manufacturing Company in 1946 by Stan Kousens (shown here load testing a handling fixture for the Standard Arm Missile). Mr. Kousens started his manufacturing training at the age of 12 when he was admitted to the Ford Trade School in 1925. Working his way up through both the Ford Motor Company and Crysler Corporation he left in 1940 to go to work for Fred Rohr as Chief of Tool Design at what was then Rohr Industries.

Our Mission

Aerowind’s mission is to become as efficient as possible in producing small to large precision machined parts and assemblies for all industries such as aerospace, electronics and general transportation. Our goal is to obtain work that will fit our machine capacity (100″ in 4 and 5 axes, 240″ in 3 axis configurations) and that will repeat in small, medium, and large lot sizes.

Our NC programmers are experts in the use of Unigraphics 5 axis software which has allowed Aerowind to manufacture some of the most complex components ever designed.

The primary goal of our company is to produce and ship perfect parts 100% of the time.

From F-15 to F-22: The Evolution of Propulsion with Vectoring Nozzles

This photo of a modified F15 Fighter Aircraft with Vectoring Nozzles (produced by Pratt & Whitney) was a prototype developed to test this advanced technology. Aerowind produced many of the components in the hot section of these nozzles. This technology was then utilized to design the Vectoring Nozzles that will be installed on the F-22 and Joint Strike Fighter Aircraft. The use of Vectoring Nozzles on fighter aircraft will improve their performance to the same degree that the jet engine added to propeller powered aircraft in the 1940’s.
